FARMING BOVINA was formed in 2012 to support and perpetuate Bovina’s proud agricultural tradition. Bovina’s farming heritage is central to the economic, social and environmental vitality of the town and surrounding areas. Farming Bovina is dedicated to assisting local farms by encouraging and supporting agriculture. Our current efforts include marketing, public awareness of farming activity within the town, and actions to protect farms and farming.

The first annual Bovina 5K will take place on August 3rd, 2024 at 9:30am. Sign up for an easy stroll or speedy run through the quaint hamlet of Bovina and the River Walk. 

Run or walk a 5k for a good cause. All proceeds will support the Bovina EMS and Fire Department. There will also be a 1-mile kids' dash after the race. Signing up by July 4th guarantees you a Bovina 5K t-shirt.

Thanks to the Delaware County Tourism Board, the Livestock Foundation, and the Catskill Mountain Club for supporting this race.

The 5K course will be two loops of the following route.

Admission $5 per person. Children Under 12 Free.

Frances Burns is turning 100 years young this summer! The Bovina UP Church and Burns Family invite you to a joint potluck lunch to celebrate. All are invited, potluck style.

Join us for this Bovina Community event featuring Nancy Kulikowski’s folk art! Make a day of it, taking in 15 playful, color-filled Farm Day signs scattered across Bovina’s Main Street lawns. (Start of  county-wide tour ending w/Bovina Farm Day, Sept 3) Stop by for a meet & greet with Nancy. Pick up Bovina bargains at Bovina Historical Society’s Town-wide Yard Sale. See the firetruck collection, old and new at the Bovina Fire Dept. Enjoy art activities with the kids, outdoors as well as indoors in Bovina Community Hall and the Fire Dept. Join the annual putt-putt tournament at Putt Putt Van Winkle. Grab a sandwich at Russell’s and cool off by the creek at Creamery field.
